1. Who we are
Workers in Holland helps Spanish workers find work in the Netherlands and Dutch employers find reliable staff. We do this together with Werkhelden, which acts as the employer and takes care of contracts and payroll.
Workers in Holland (Chamber of Commerce 91204860) is responsible for the personal data that comes in through this website.
2. What data we process
What data we hold about you depends on who you are and how you contact us.
Employers: company name, name of the contact person, email address, phone number and information about the vacancy, such as the role, sector, number of people, start date, location and your notes.
Candidates: name, email address, phone number, CV, work experience and whatever you tell us yourself. If you start working through us, we also process the data needed for your contract and pay, such as your identity document, BSN and bank account number.
Website visitors: through Google Analytics, data about the use of the site, such as pages visited, device, browser and a shortened IP address.
WhatsApp: your phone number, your name as it appears in WhatsApp and the messages you send us through our WhatsApp business profile.
3. What we use your data for
To contact you about your request, vacancy or application.
To bring candidates and employers together.
To arrange agreements, contracts and payroll, together with Werkhelden.
To meet legal obligations, such as checking your identity and our bookkeeping and tax duties.
To improve our website.
4. On what legal basis
We only process your data when there is a legal basis for it:
Consent, for example when you fill in a form or accept analytics cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Preparing or carrying out an agreement, such as a placement or an employment contract.
A legal obligation, such as the duty to verify identity and to keep records for tax purposes.
Our legitimate interest, such as running our business properly and improving the website.
5. Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We only share it when that is necessary:
With Werkhelden, for the employment, the contracts and the payroll.
With employers we introduce you to as a candidate. We only share what is needed for the role.
With service providers that process data on our instructions: HubSpot (customer management and forms), Google (Google Analytics), Meta (WhatsApp Business) and Framer (hosting of this website).
With authorities when we are legally required to, for example the Dutch tax office.
6. Data outside the European Union
HubSpot, Google and Meta may also process data in the United States. This is done on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses from the European Commission.
7. How long we keep data
We do not keep your data longer than necessary.
Application data: up to 1 year after the procedure ends.
Employer data: for as long as we are in touch or working together, and a maximum of 2 years after that.
Payroll and personnel records: 7 years, because of the tax retention obligation.
Google Analytics statistics: a maximum of 14 months.
8. Cookies
This website uses functional cookies that are needed to make the site work. We only place analytics cookies if you give your consent.
9. Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and misuse. The website uses a secure connection and only staff who need your data for their work can access it.
10. Your rights
You have the right to see your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to have the processing limited, to object and to take your data to another party. Send your request toinfo@workersinholland.com. We respond within a month and may ask you to prove your identity.
Are you unhappy with the way we handle your data? Then you can file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
